Product Description

Wear Resistance Machine Polished Silicon Carbide SiC Ceramic Nozzles

Silicon Carbide Ceramic

Silicon Carbide (SiC) is one of the lightest, hardest, advanced ceramic materials and has exceptional thermal conductivity with resistance to temperature / acids, and has a low thermal expansion. Silicon Carbide is an excellent material to use when wear is an important consideration because it exhibits good sliding, erosion and abrasive resistance, making it useful in a variety of applications such as seal rings, nozzles, and hydro cyclone components. Silicon carbide materials are electrically conductive and this may be helpful for resistive or inductive heating, dissipating charge etc.

Characteristics:

Silicon carbide ceramic stands out among industrial structural materials with its unique comprehensive performance, making our bushing sleeves suitable for harsh working scenarios that most conventional materials cannot withstand:
  • Extreme Wear Resistance: With a Mohs hardness of 9.5 and Vickers hardness up to 2500 HV, SiC far exceeds steel and bronze. It delivers ultra-low friction coefficient and excellent anti-abrasion performance, resisting wear from slurry, particle impact and long-term high-speed friction, ensuring stable long-term operation of rotating and sliding parts.
  • Superior Corrosion & Chemical Resistance: Inert to most acids, alkalis, organic solvents and corrosive slurries. It will not rust, oxidize or degrade in harsh chemical environments, perfectly adapting to corrosive working conditions in chemical, petrochemical and environmental protection industries.
  • Ultra-High Temperature Stability: Capable of continuous stable operation at temperatures up to 1600°C, with extremely low thermal expansion coefficient. It maintains precise dimensional stability and mechanical strength under high-temperature working conditions, avoiding thermal deformation, jamming or fracture failure.
  • Excellent Self-Lubricating & Thermal Conductivity: Featuring natural self-lubricating property, it achieves smooth operation without additional lubricating oil, adapting to oil-free, high-cleanliness working environments. Meanwhile, its efficient thermal conductivity rapidly dissipates frictional heat, preventing local overheating and component burnout.
  • High Precision & Tight Fit: Adopting fine polishing and precision CNC machining, the inner and outer surfaces are smooth and flawless with accurate dimensional tolerance. The tight matching structure ensures excellent sealing performance and stable rotational precision, effectively reducing equipment vibration and noise.
  • Long Service Life & Cost-Effective: Compared with traditional metal bushings, SiC sleeves have 5–10 times longer service life, drastically reducing replacement frequency, equipment downtime and maintenance labor costs, and improving overall production efficiency.
